He was born in 1990, this year 32 years old in Korea age. He had been a backstroker but since 2013 he has changed his main stroke which is Freestyle(Long distance).

He was representative of Korea for Long distance and open water and he has constantly been high ranked for seaveral years.
- 특히 장거리 종목에서는 나이가 생각보다 영향을 많이 미치는데, 이 선수는 서른살이 되던 해인 2019년에도 노련미를 앞세워 전국체전 남자 일반부 자유형 1500m에서 1위를 하였습니다.
